TERMS AND CONDITIONS

Please read below our terms, conditions and privacy policy. If you have any questions about these then please do let us know.

Price
Your final quoted price will be dependent on the size and design of your cake.  Our standard cake range are priced to a set specification. Any edits to the design may alter the price.

​

All quotations are valid for 21 days. 

​

Deposits

We require a 50% non-refundable deposit at the time of booking to secure your order slot. Your order is not deemed as confirmed until the deposit is received.

​

Payment Arrangements

We accept payments via cash or bank transfer.

​

The balance of payment is due no later than 7 days before your collection/delivery date. For wedding cakes the balance is due no later than 14 days before your collection or delivery date.  

​

It is the customer’s responsibility to ensure that payment reaches us by the deadline date as a reminder is not issued.

​

If we do not receive your balance of payment by the deadline date your order will be deemed cancelled and your slot will be released for other customers.

​

All deposits are non-refundable and we reserve the right to retain them. 

​

Alterations
If you wish to make any alterations to your order then please inform us as soon as possible.  Alterations may not always be possible due to time/design implications but we will always endeavour to implement any requested alterations. 

This may incur an additional charge and your balance will be adjusted accordingly.

​

Sometimes we may need to make an alteration to your design due to circumstances beyond our control which may impact on the quality of the finished cake e.g. weather conditions. We will always inform you if this is the case.

​

Collection, delivery and set up
You must specify your delivery/collection requirements at the time of ordering so we can plan accordingly.

​

Collection from our premises is free of charge for all orders and must be made at a pre-agreed time.

​

Delivery with a 5 mile radius of our premises in Farnborough is free. For deliveries within a radius of 5-10 miles, there is a charge of £5. Let us know if you would like your cake delivered to an address further than a 10 mile radius and we will include the cost in your quotation.

​

Delivery and set up of wedding cakes, if required,  is included in your final quotation and will depend on the particulars of your cake design and venue. We will need to know your venue upon enquiry so that we can price for this accordingly.

​

We can accept no responsibility for damages to cakes once they have left our possession, either by collection from our premises or once they have been left at your venue.

​

Cancellation and refunds
All notifications of order cancellations must be made to us in writing. We reserve the right to retain any and all deposits paid.

​

If your event is postponed, we will endeavour to transfer your deposit and order to the new event date. If this is not possible, then your order will be treated as a cancellation.

​

We retain the right to cancel your order in cases if unusual circumstances beyond our control e.g. ill health or fire. In these instances, your deposit will be refunded in full.

​

Publication and promotional rights
We retain all rights of publicity and promotion with regards to our designed cakes and may use images or videos of your cake in any and all of our promotional material.


If you have any issues with this then please discuss with us at the time of ordering.

We retain copyright on all of our cake designs at all times.  

​

Equipment Hire
It may be possible for us to provide an equipment hire service to our customers for items such as cake and cupcake stands.


In this case, we will charge an equipment hire fee which is payable at the time of your balance payment. This fee will be refunded upon the return of all hired items. 


Should any of the items be lost or damaged, we reserve the right to retain this fee either partially or in full to cover the cost of a replacement.

Flowers
If you wish to use fresh flowers on your finished cake it will be your responsibility to make all arrangements with your florist regarding these.  


Please be aware that not all flowers are safe for use on surfaces intended to be eaten and it will your responsibility to inform your florist that you intend to use these on an edible item. We accept no responsibility for the fresh flowers provided.

Non edible items
Many cakes may contain some non-edible items as part of their design e.g. dowels, ribbons, wires etc. We will always notify you of non-edible items in your finished cake.

​

It is your responsibility to ensure that these are removed by your caterer/guests prior to the cake being eaten.

​

Portion guides
Any portion guides given are intended as a guideline only and not an exact number of portions. Total portions will vary depending on how the cake is cut. 


Privacy Policy

Privacy of our customers’ data is very important to us.  We only ever use your data for the reasons intended when you give it to us.

​

For orders, we will collect your name, telephone number, email address and address as we require this information to process your order.  All data collected for orders is stored on a password-protected computer.

​

If you request marketing information from us, we will request your name and email address. Email marketing capability is provided by a third party provider who is both reputable and GDPR compliant.

​

We will keep any information stored in our records for 3 years since your last contact date. Should you wish to have your data removed earlier than this then please contact us in writing and we will remove all data held about you from our records.
